InfoDescrizione
The GEP - European Heritage Days, the largest and most popular cultural event in Europe, return on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September.
In these days dedicated to the theme : “Heritage InLife”, the Pantheon staff offer an exclusive guided tour of the monument, following the traces of the history of a material and immaterial heritage that has remained almost unchanged and unaltered over time. A materially and functionally InVita monument that is still located in the city with its dynamic and triple vitality: the material, cultural and religious one.. Located in the middle of the area called Campus Martius, the Pantheon is one of the best preserved building from antiquity, thanks to its transformation into a church in 609, few decades after the fall of the Roman Empire. The present building dates back to around 125 A.D., when it was reconstructed by Emperor Hadrian, after a fire destroyed the previous one, built by Agrippa in 27 B.C.
In a tour of about 1 hour, guided by a professional operator of the Ministry of Culture, you will explore the breathtaking structures of the building, learning its impressive history more than 2000 years long
